Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist teams in selecting future software architecture for advanced defense systems.

• Articulate RTI technology to executives, architects, program managers, and developers.

• Create Proof-of-Concept prototypes and demonstrations for prospective clients.

• Collaborate with your account manager to formulate sales strategies.

• Relay customer technical requirements to Product Management and engineering to enhance RTI technology.

• Participate in RTI’s online developer community forum as an RTI and domain expert.

• Present RTI’s technology through published technical articles and speaking engagements.

• Work directly with clients to address complex technical challenges in mission-critical, intelligent distributed systems.

• Engage with advanced programs across defense and other vital industries.

• Assist clients in adopting RTI’s software architecture for the development of reliable, real-time systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or computer science, with a Master’s preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in application-facing technical professional services or sales.

• Proficiency in one or more of the following: C/C++/Python/Java/.NET.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Strong grasp of operating systems and networking concepts (UDP, Multicast, etc.).

• Self-driven sales mindset, comfortable working in a team environment without daily supervision.

• US Citizenship is required.

• Preferred: Experience with messaging or high-performance distributed systems.

• Preferred: Background in embedded systems.

• Preferred: Familiarity with JMS, AMQP, MQTT, and Web Services.

• Preferred: Awareness of current trends in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
