This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide technical support for complex products, applications, and solutions during the pre-sales phase.
• Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations utilizing extensive product knowledge.
• Establish technical relationships with customers and evaluate product applications based on customer needs.
• Negotiate technical specifications and performance trade-offs with clients.
• Engage in customer design reviews and assist in formulating technical responses to RFIs/RFQs.
• Gather customer requirements and application use cases alongside sales and customers.
• Activate transceiver modules at customer locations, troubleshoot prototypes, and devise solutions supporting end-user applications.
• Create and oversee customer product documentation, which includes corrective actions, analysis reports, manufacturing test plans, performance improvement plans, and reliability qualification plans and reports.
• Administer the Product Change Notification process involving customers and engineering teams.
• Take part in failure analysis, corrective action, and lessons-learned initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Line Management, Sales, Product Development, R&D, and key customers to promote product design-ins and adoption in datacenters and GPU clusters.
• Report to the Senior Director of Sales.
• A degree in physical sciences, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in the design, development, or testing of coherent optical modules and components.
• Preferably possess experience with active products, such as DSPs, receivers, modulators, and lasers.
• Direct experience with product development and NPI processes within an optical components/modules company or system OEM.
• Practical knowledge of transceiver hardware, including the specification and testing of firmware/hardware interfaces.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
• Familiarity with device firmware structure and functionality is highly advantageous.
• Understanding of CMIS, C-CMIS, Ethernet, and Infiniband standards.
• Knowledge of Arista, Cisco, and Nvidia switch/router platforms and ONTs.
• Basic familiarity with Python.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
