This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Sell MRO supplies and Jan/San products to a pre-existing customer portfolio.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Create and implement strategic sales plans tailored for the current customer base.
• Surpass sales and profit objectives within a specified territory.
• Acquire profitable new accounts through market research, networking, and proactive outreach.
• Organize, forecast, and report on sales activities along with competitive pricing strategies.
• Develop strategic sales call schedules and engage in face-to-face meetings with customers.
• Advocate for value-added solutions, address objections, and boost sales revenue.
• Establish and maintain a qualified managed-account pipeline utilizing a CRM tool.
• Employ cold-calling techniques to expand territory accounts.
• Keep up-to-date with industry-specific product knowledge and specialized service offerings.
• Utilize Salesforce reporting and data analysis to pinpoint opportunities for territory growth.
• Assess customer portfolios and take action on underperforming accounts.
• Collaborate with inside sales to foster business growth and development.
• Self-motivated sales professional with exceptional organizational abilities.
• Capacity to prioritize sales activities and administrative responsibilities effectively.
• Proficiency in building and nurturing strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal colleagues.
• Experience in consultative or solution-based selling is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Minimum of 3 years of B2B field sales experience.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle consistently for more than 50% of the average work week.
• A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is required.
• Typically requires a BS/BA in a relevant discipline.
• Alternatively, an MS/MA degree along with generally 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
• Certification may be necessary in specific areas.
• Typically involves less than 10% overnight travel.
• Ability to manage moderate physical discomfort and lift or handle materials or equipment weighing between 8–20 pounds.
