Family Support Coordinator – Temp

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Respond to incoming phone calls and address urgent communications from hospitals, medical examiners, justices of the peace, and other authorized entities.

• Evaluate and screen referrals in accordance with established medical and eligibility standards.

• Reach out to legal next of kin via telephone, explain the tissue donation opportunity, answer inquiries, and secure consent when the family opts to proceed.

• Conduct and document thorough medical and personal history interviews over the phone.

• Maintain precise and comprehensive case records while coordinating necessary follow-ups.

• Safeguard confidential information and uphold professionalism in every interaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in a remote, customer-facing role involving discussions of confidential and sensitive information over the phone.

• Background in healthcare, hospice, funeral services, social services, or emergency response is advantageous.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.

• Clear, compassionate, and professional communication skills over the phone.

• Capability to stay calm and focused during sensitive or emotionally challenging conversations.

• Excellent listening and organizational skills.

• Consistent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to pose sensitive questions with care and professionalism.

• Proficient in typing and navigating multiple systems while conversing on the phone.

• Ability to adhere to established procedures and guidelines.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
