Family Specialist – Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Perform independent evaluations of family strengths and requirements utilizing evidence-based tools.

• Offer counseling and skill development services to children and their families.

• Promote family interactions and nurture positive family dynamics.

• Deliver crisis intervention services as necessary.

• Organize and arrange meetings with families, IHHS, and FCS team members.

• Fill out intake forms, assessments, case notes, and reports within electronic systems.

• Partner with community organizations to guarantee that families receive essential support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related human services discipline.

• Capability to complete SafeCare and Solution-Based Casework training (training will be provided).

• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to work independently, respond to emergencies, and adhere to deadlines.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Reliable internet access or the ability to work from an office location.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Auto insurance that includes liability coverage and a safe driving record.

• Multilingual skills are encouraged.
