Experienced Project Manager, Energy & Energy Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee energy performance projects from inception to completion: including analysis, scoping, tendering, deployment, and monitoring results.

• Create and manage tenders in collaboration with partners and suppliers.

• Assist in the execution of energy transition projects throughout METRO France’s full portfolio.

• Supervise ISO 50001 certification and aid in the ongoing enhancement of the energy management system.

• Evaluate energy consumption and pinpoint opportunities for optimization.

• Establish and track energy, budget, and financial performance metrics.

• Ensure project compliance with relevant regulations.

• Challenge service providers and offer recommendations regarding technical, financial, and operational decisions.

• Engage stakeholders and deliver regular updates on the progress of projects.

• Contribute to the implementation of Building Management Systems (BMS), photovoltaic systems, EV charging stations, and relamping initiatives.

• Occasionally visit METRO France locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in Energy Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Energy Transition, or a related discipline.

• Several years of proven experience in managing energy, energy performance, or energy transition initiatives.

• Capability to independently oversee complex projects.

• In-depth understanding of energy efficiency and building performance issues.

• Familiarity with energy and environmental regulations.

• Knowledge of ISO 50001, photovoltaics, Building Management Systems (BMS), EV charging infrastructure, or energy systems.

• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting technical and financial data.

• Ability to work in a multisite environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to challenge proposals from partners and service providers.

• High sense of responsibility, proactive approach, and autonomy.

• Ability to unite stakeholders and collectively drive projects forward.

• Enjoyment of hands-on tasks and a strong team-oriented mindset.

• Proficiency in English is an advantage.
