This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more state.
• Safeguard, enhance, and develop new human array business opportunities in targeted growth sectors within the Mediterranean region.
• Collaborate with subregional account management, sales specialists, global product management, and support teams to drive revenue growth and achieve profitable margins.
• Act as the commercial expert for human arrays, workflows, and software solutions.
• Assist major accounts and strategic initiatives in the subregion.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and thought leaders.
• Oversee customer relations, portfolio management, proposal creation, and market intelligence collection.
• Formulate strategic plans to secure new business, increase market share, and enhance existing programs through a qualified opportunity pipeline.
• Identify competitive solutions to customer challenges while maximizing the company’s return on investment.
• Implement strategies and campaigns to capture significant human array opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, shape, and suggest pursuing opportunities valued at $1M and above.
• Engage in campaign planning, regional marketing initiatives, customer relationship management, and win strategy formulation.
• Assess market trends, applications, industry standards, competition, and marketplace tactics.
• Cultivate and sustain long-term relationships with customers at all levels.
• Provide thought leadership and innovative solutions to customer challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with specialist roles, account managers, key account managers, district sales managers, inside sales, and distribution channel managers within a team selling framework.
• Travel up to 50–60%.
• A PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, or Biochemistry is preferred.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree plus relevant work experience is acceptable.
• Extensive experience with DNA microarray technology and genotyping applications is highly preferred.
• Experience with other genomic technologies and molecular biology techniques is required if microarray experience is lacking.
• Research experience in the genotyping field is advantageous.
• Basic familiarity with product commercialization is expected.
• Ability to discuss challenges and solutions with customers and prospects.
• Must be independent and possess strategic insight.
• Significant sales or customer-facing experience is necessary.
• Must be willing to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• Capable of delivering customer-facing presentations.
• Excellent communication and team management skills are required.
• Ability to function as part of a multifunctional team is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is mandatory.
• Knowledge of SFDC and JDE is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50–60% is necessary.
