Executive Risk Assessment Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive executive background investigations, which encompass credit evaluations, verification of qualifications, identity confirmations, criminal history checks, employment record assessments, and professional reference checks.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments against PEP, AML, sanctions, and TFS databases.

• Evaluate intricate assessment results and create succinct, evidence-based reports that include impartial hiring suggestions for executive leadership.

• Recognize potential reputational, regulatory, legal, and competency risks linked to prospective Board and executive appointments.

• Share risk insights and assessment results with Boards and senior executive leadership.

• Uphold professional discretion and confidentiality in alignment with POPIA and other relevant governance regulations.

• Assist in high-stakes executive appointment decisions within a governance framework.

• Collaborate with the risk and governance team to protect organizational integrity throughout leadership structures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant tertiary degree in Law, Risk, Governance, Compliance, Forensics, or a similar discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in performing extensive background checks or risk evaluations specifically for senior-level or executive positions.

• Proven understanding of PEP, AML, sanctions screening instruments, and corporate governance frameworks.

• Strong analytical abilities, proficient report-writing skills, and assessment expertise, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to handle multiple assessments simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines in a virtual setting.
