Executive Director, Project Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Oversee and lead the Project Management team within a therapeutic division.

• Ensure the successful execution of assigned projects.

• Recruit, train, and develop personnel while conducting performance evaluations.

• Support strategic initiatives and the acquisition of new business in collaboration with business and senior management.

• Cultivate and sustain effective relationships with clients.

• Manage alliance partnerships and act as WCT’s primary liaison with sponsors when designated.

• Lead sub-therapeutic groups as necessary.

• Supervise overall project financial performance across all departments.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and adherence to project plans and performance metrics.

• Conduct budget assessments and provide financial analysis support.

• Review and authorize strategy, content, and costing of new business proposals.

• Determine resource requirements for new projects and achieve resource management and utilization objectives.

• Perform project and sponsor relationship evaluations.

• Facilitate the resolution of sponsor relationship challenges.

• Deliver capabilities presentations and participate in bid presentations.

• Ensure project deliverables align with sponsor and WCT expectations.

• Engage in company initiatives and undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• University/college degree (preferably in life sciences) or certification in a related allied health field from an accredited institution, or a comparable mix of education and experience.

• At least twelve (12) years of experience in the global clinical pharmaceutical industry, including 8 years showcasing skills and competence in clinical project management and staff management.

• Proven ability to lead and manage staff in a global context.

• Demonstrated capacity to inspire teamwork and motivate personnel within a matrix organization.

• Experience in overseeing global drug development programs.

• Established ability to negotiate with clients professionally.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.

• Possession of a valid Passport.

• Capability to drive and hold a valid driver's license.

• Proficient in the local office language and in English, both written and spoken.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the drug development process and client requirements.
