Executive Director of Advocacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design and execute advocacy strategies in important markets in collaboration with internal stakeholders, with a specific emphasis on Medicaid programs.

• Collaborate with local leadership to integrate advocacy goals into overall business strategy and objectives.

• Monitor and report on legislation and regulations that may impact access to care.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with legislators, regulators, payers, and industry partners.

• Represent LEARN at pertinent forums, conferences, and events.

• Keep executive management updated on developments that could influence the organization.

• Work alongside the Payor relations and RCM team on reimbursement-related matters.

• Connect with key industry groups.

• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing access to care for autistic individuals, particularly those covered by Medicaid.

• Act as LEARN's primary liaison with national and regional industry associations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience in advocacy, government relations, public policy, or a closely aligned field.

• Preference for candidates with direct experience in the field of ABA.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capability to convert complex policy matters into practical advocacy strategies.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders—from clinicians to legislators to payers.

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel to represent LEARN in key markets and forums.

• Candidates must currently be eligible to work in the United States.

• Proficient in expressive and receptive communication, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to identify when issues arise or are likely to arise.
