This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the worldwide Proleukin business and establish long-term strategies and operational priorities for both the United States and international markets.
• Take ownership of business performance, profit-and-loss outcomes, forecasts, budgets, spending priorities, and avenues for growth.
• Make informed decisions regarding inventory, distribution, market priorities, budgets, staffing, and business risks.
• Oversee distribution and inventory management to satisfy demand, control costs, and ensure supply continuity.
• Utilize customer data and business analysis to establish performance metrics and tackle performance challenges.
• Direct global business and customer planning, encompassing account coverage, customer segmentation, distribution, forecasting, and both short- and long-term plans.
• Align commercial strategies with Clinical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and regional teams.
• Represent Proleukin in leadership reviews, strategic planning sessions, and decision-making forums.
• Collaborate with Sales and Market Access leaders on field priorities, training, reimbursement updates, and patient-access challenges.
• Set strategic direction and approve compliant marketing plans and materials.
• Evaluate product lifecycle, access, distribution, partnership, and business development opportunities.
• Facilitate engagement with clinicians, providers, payers, patient advocates, and other external stakeholders.
• Guide advocacy, policy, and patient support initiatives.
• Define team structure and staffing requirements, develop leadership capabilities, support succession planning, and hold teams accountable.
• Oversee external partnerships, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, timing, and business requirements.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, operational, financial, supply, legal, regulatory, medical, privacy, and promotional risks.
• Uphold Iovance Biotherapeutics’ values, policies, procedures, ethical standards, and compliance obligations.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least fifteen years of progressive commercial leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Proven experience with intricate businesses, global or multi-market strategies, financial outcomes, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience leading a business unit, established brand, global portfolio, or similarly complex commercial operation with direct financial accountability.
• Background with hospital-administered medications and/or oncology products.
• In-depth knowledge of market access, reimbursement, distribution, inventory management, and customer requirements for complex therapies.
• Experience leading office-based, field-based, cross-functional, and external partner teams, including those outside the direct reporting structure.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and senior-level communication abilities.
• Capability to interpret complex business and financial data and provide clear recommendations to senior management.
• Strong commitment to integrity, inclusion, sound judgment, and adherence to compliance.
• Ability to establish direction, evaluate trade-offs, and make decisions that align with long-term business objectives.
• Effective, credible communication with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated sound judgment in complex, uncertain, and highly regulated environments.
• Experience managing profit and loss, budgets, forecasts, investments, and business risks.
• Proficient in leading change, building effective teams, nurturing talent, and planning for future leadership needs.
• Experience managing projects across countries, regions, and functions, including teams not directly reporting to the role.
• Ability to leverage scientific, market, customer, operational, and financial information to inform decisions and strategies.
• Strong skills in negotiation, partnership development, communication, and relationship management.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in U.S. and global markets is preferred.
• Must be able to remain standing or seated for extended periods.
• Must be capable of moving about within an office and exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible force frequently/constantly.
• Must possess visual acuity for data analysis, computer screen usage, and extensive reading.
• Requires repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movements.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others to exchange information.
• Clear and conceptual thinking, sound judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analysis, discretion, stress management, multitasking, and deadline management skills are essential.
• Up to 40% travel required based on business needs.
