This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Spearhead the development and implementation of strategies that enhance Aetna's clinical, provider, network, and pharmacy objectives.
• Enhance affordability, health outcomes, and overall member experience.
• Collaborate with leaders across clinical, network, product, pharmacy, operations, and finance sectors.
• Formulate integrated, actionable strategies that align with Aetna's total cost of care goals.
• Utilize insights from market trends, competition, consumer behavior, technology, and regulations to pinpoint innovation opportunities.
• Drive strategic decision-making and foster organizational alignment.
• Convert priorities into quantifiable actions and outcomes.
• Assess emerging trends and discover avenues for improving affordability and outcomes.
• Lead critical initiatives that receive significant visibility from executives.
• Mentor and coach high-performing teams.
• Report directly to Aetna's Chief Strategy Officer and collaborate with the Aetna Executive Leadership team.
• Over 10 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, financial analysis, public policy, product development, mergers and acquisitions, healthcare/clinical strategy, or related areas.
• Demonstrated capability to lead intricate strategic initiatives from conception through implementation.
• Experience in developing and synthesizing insights related to market dynamics, competition, consumer behavior, regulations, and technology.
• Proven skill in facilitating discussions among executives and senior leadership, influencing decisions at the enterprise level.
• Capacity to present strategic recommendations and communications to executive leadership through effective storytelling and structured problem-solving.
• Strong executive presence along with exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Aptitude for navigating uncertainty, simplifying complex challenges, and managing multiple priorities concurrently.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is required.
• Familiarity with payer, provider, pharmacy, and healthcare product segments.
• Preferably, experience in the health plan, managed care, payer, or health insurance sectors.
• Experience in supporting enterprise, business unit, or growth strategy initiatives within healthcare organizations.
• Proficient in constructing and evaluating financial models, business cases, and investment analyses.
• Ability to distill market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights into actionable strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and assessing new growth opportunities, partnerships, and business models.
