This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of Wagepoint's annual event strategy and calendar, encompassing tradeshows, industry events, customer and partner gatherings, proprietary experiences, and yearly summits.
• Investigate and assess event opportunities based on the audience, strategic alignment, costs, reach, and possible business impact.
• Develop comprehensive event plans that outline objectives, target audiences, experiential elements, promotional strategies, budgets, timelines, and success metrics.
• Oversee the complete planning and execution of tradeshows and industry events from start to finish.
• Manage the strategy, programming, promotion, production, and follow-up for Wagefest.
• Organize and execute three annual summits.
• Handle event budgets, vendors, venues, production partners, and suppliers efficiently.
• Manage event timelines, registrations, travel arrangements, shipping, staffing, and logistics.
• Create repeatable event playbooks, checklists, processes, and templates for future use.
• Define success metrics, monitor performance and ROI, and refine future event strategies.
• Implement Wagepoint's webinar strategy, which includes scheduling, speaker coordination, registration, promotion, platform setup, live production, and follow-up.
• Work collaboratively with Sales and external partners on target audiences, objectives, pre-arranged meetings, and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate event assets with the wider marketing team.
• Collaborate with Marketing, SMB, and Partner Sales teams on post-event initiatives.
• Report directly to the Growth Marketing Manager.
• Proactively identify issues, close gaps, and ensure events are well-organized and prepared.
• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, experiential marketing, or a similar role.
• Proven experience managing events from strategy and planning through to execution and post-event analysis.
• Familiarity with tradeshows, conferences, virtual events, and customer or executive experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to create event plans and budgets while managing vendors, agencies, and production partners.
• Experience in planning and executing webinars, including platform setup, promotion, and live production.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A commercial mindset with an understanding of event investments, growth, relationships, and branding.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Hands-on approach to managing and executing all facets of events.
• Flexibility when priorities shift.
• Capability to track event performance and ROI effectively.
