This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +6 more countries.
• Oversee the planning and implementation of external events and trade shows throughout the LATAM region.
• Convert marketing and business goals into compelling event experiences and execution strategies.
• Handle all aspects of event operations, including budgets, suppliers, logistics, agencies, event technology, and on-site coordination.
• Work closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment of messaging, business goals, and event execution.
• Guarantee adherence to ABB brand guidelines, governance requirements, and CoE standards.
• Evaluate event success through KPIs, post-event assessments, and performance evaluations.
• Discover opportunities for ongoing enhancement.
• Play a role in the development and continuous improvement of ABB Motion's global Events & Exhibitions Center of Expertise through best practices, process enhancements, and capability-building initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• More than 5 years of experience in planning and executing external events, exhibitions, and trade shows within a global or matrixed structure.
• Proven track record in managing comprehensive event projects, including budgets, suppliers, logistics, event technology, and on-site execution.
• Demonstrated capability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders across various regions and functions.
• Strong skills in project management, organization, and communication.
• Experience in assessing event success through KPIs, post-event reporting, and performance analysis.
• Proficient in both English and Spanish.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
• Background in a Center of Excellence (CoE), shared services environment, or another regional/global delivery model.
• Familiarity with event technologies, registration platforms, lead capture tools, and CRM systems.
• Experience in developing event management processes, playbooks, templates, and best practices.
• Background in facilitating training, coaching, or knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Understanding of procurement and supplier management processes.
• Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
