This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Drive sponsorship and hospitality revenue related to the Rome Sail Grand Prix.
• Formulate and implement a sales strategy for sponsorships to achieve and surpass revenue objectives.
• Identify, pursue, and secure sponsorship and partnership opportunities within key categories.
• Create and maintain a pipeline of potential partners utilizing CRM tools.
• Monitor activities, manage opportunities, and provide accurate forecasts.
• Craft customized sales proposals and presentations that highlight SailGP's value proposition.
• Present SailGP event opportunities to prominent brands in the Italian market.
• Assist with global partnership initiatives that arise from the Italian market.
• Collaborate with the global corporate hospitality sales team to foster local hospitality interest and sales prospects.
• Obtain corporate bookings for event hospitality packages.
• Recognize emerging opportunities, category gaps, and competitive trends.
• Aid the Events team in discovering new inventory opportunities and partnership integrations.
• Represent SailGP at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings to cultivate relationships and generate leads.
• Engage with the Italy SailGP Team to optimize commercial prospects in the Italian market.
• Over 5 years of experience in sports sponsorship, commercial sales, business development, media sales, events, or a related area.
• Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets.
• Experience overseeing the complete sales cycle and finalizing sponsorship or partnership agreements.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Italian sports, sponsorship, and brand marketing landscape.
• Established relationships with senior contacts within Italian brands, agencies, and/or media partners.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficient in pipeline management and forecasting.
• Capability to work independently while collaborating within a dynamic, international organization.
• Fluent in Italian with strong proficiency in English required.
• A passion for sailing, sports, entertainment, or premium/international brands is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Contractor engagement for an initial duration of 12 months, contingent upon agreed contractual terms.
