This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Oversee the Global Events Marquee and Industry portfolio.
• Establish and guide integrated engagement strategies that enhance Cisco's brand visibility, nurture customer journeys, and generate measurable revenue impact.
• Lead a team of engagement managers focused on audience interaction at significant Marquee and Industry Events and the Cisco Showcase during Cisco Live Global.
• Direct multi-channel marketing and communications strategies across owned and paid media.
• Drive attendee outcomes such as booth interaction, speaking session participation, meeting involvement, brand recognition, and sales engagement.
• Advocate for an AI-first operational model to streamline content creation, unify processes, and scale communication resources.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Event Strategy, Brand, Sales, and Marketing leaders to synchronize strategies and provide a unified Cisco brand experience.
• Define and report on KPIs tracking event effectiveness and ROI.
• Design and enhance high-touch, low-touch, and no-touch customer journey programs.
• Mentor senior and mid-level managers, fostering professional development, high performance, and agility.
• Manage intricate vendor relationships to guarantee service excellence.
• Offer subject-matter expertise and data-driven insights for future event communication and engagement strategies.
• Over 10 years of event marketing experience in the high-tech industry.
• More than 15 years of strategic communications experience.
• At least 10 years of proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, large-scale marketing campaigns and flagship event projects.
• Proven capability to create and deliver high-stakes presentations and executive communications.
• Strong enthusiasm for brand storytelling and brand stewardship.
• Experience in integrating AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, content speed, and process optimization.
• Ability to convert complex data sets into engaging narratives.
• Proven change-management skills, particularly related to AI tools and evolving event formats.
• Proficient in managing complex project portfolios, tracking ROI, and adapting strategies based on data-driven insights.
• Exceptional copywriting and editorial abilities.
• BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field is required.
