This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Evaluate invitations to quote, drawings, BOQs, specifications, geotechnical reports, survey data, programs, and site images.

• Perform quantity take-offs and create detailed rate build-ups for equipment, labor, transportation, materials, disposal, mobilization, supervision, testing, and other project-related expenses.

• Formulate clear scopes of work utilizing the appropriate civil and earthworks cost codes.

• Analyze construction methodologies, access, staging, cut-and-fill needs, material reuse, disposal, and potential production limitations.

• Detect scope discrepancies, inconsistencies, and commercial risks, and compile assumptions, clarifications, exclusions, and deviations.

• Apply margins, contingencies, and risk allowances in accordance with the company's commercial strategy.

• Prepare subcontractor quotations and associated tender correspondence.

• Maintain tender registers, pricing documentation, supplier/subcontractor quotations, and version-controlled records.

• Prepare and manage purchase orders, subcontract documentation, progress claims, variations, time extensions, notices, back-charges, and final accounts.

• Keep registers for variations, cost-to-complete, committed costs, and project correspondence.

• Review builder instructions and verify commercial approval prerequisites before any additional work progresses.

• Monitor actual expenses against approved estimates and highlight margin, productivity, access, or scope concerns.

• Coordinate delivery dockets, timesheets, equipment records, site diaries, photographs, test results, and other supporting documentation.

• Assist with monthly claims, reconciliations, forecasting, and project closure.

• Support the site team in interpreting priced scopes, assumptions, exclusions, QA requirements, and variation limits.

• Aid in maintaining QA, safety, environmental, and final handover documentation.

• Collaborate with management, builders, suppliers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to safeguard margins, clarify scope, and manage projects commercially from the tender stage through to the final account.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in civil estimating, earthworks estimating, contract administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience in civil construction, bulk earthworks, subdivisions, roadworks, industrial projects, or comparable areas.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil, structural, and architectural drawings, BOQs, specifications, geotechnical reports, survey data, and site images.

• Strong knowledge of earthworks methodologies, including stripping, cut and fill, stockpiling, transportation, disposal, unsuitable materials, rock, groundwater, backfill, compaction, proof rolling, pavements, and site access.

• Ability to conduct precise quantity take-offs and establish rates for equipment, labor, transportation, testing, mobilization, and disposal.

• Comprehensive understanding of productivity, haul distances, equipment utilization, minimum charges, wet and dry hire, and the commercial impact of site constraints.

• Capability to identify absent information and challenge unclear or incomplete scopes instead of pricing unsupported assumptions.

• Experience in preparing and managing variations, progress claims, notices, extensions of time, cost forecasts, and final accounts.

• Strong proficiency in Excel, including structured estimating workbooks, formulas, rate schedules, and cost tracking.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear commercial correspondence and articulate pricing decisions.

• High attention to detail, dependable follow-through, and disciplined document management.

• Practical knowledge of safety, QA, environmental responsibilities, and the necessary records to support claims and handovers.

• Formal qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management, civil engineering, building, estimating, or contract administration are preferred.

• Familiarity with ClickUp, CRM/tender platforms, estimating software, document management systems, and digital QA platforms is advantageous.

• Experience with Australian civil construction standards and specifications, including AS 3798-2007 and common earthworks testing requirements is desirable.

• Working knowledge of subcontract conditions, security of payment legislation, payment schedules, notice provisions, and extension-of-time processes is a plus.

• Experience with civil take-off, scheduling, surveying, project management, or accounting software is an asset.

• Exposure to procurement, supplier negotiations, equipment hire, quarry materials, disposal facilities, and subcontractor engagement is beneficial.

• Experience in preparing tender handovers and translating commercial assumptions into actionable site instructions is a plus.

• Familiarity with environmental controls, erosion and sediment control, traffic interfaces, and working around live services is beneficial.

• Existing relationships with civil contractors, builders, suppliers, quarries, transport providers, or testing laboratories are advantageous.

• Must disclose any ongoing roles or client work.
