Escalator Engineer – Nights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of various high-profile escalator systems located in London transport hubs.

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on escalators and moving walkways from multiple manufacturers.

• Execute maintenance tasks, repairs, and respond to callouts as needed.

• Work with KONE TM, RTV and RTK units, Schindler 9300 escalators, Anlev systems, and Otis 506 NCE equipment.

• Ensure the safe and reliable operation of equipment in safety-critical rail and underground environments.

• Provide exceptional service, prioritize safety, and uphold high standards of customer care.

• Conduct risk assessments and maintain site log cards during each visit.

• Operate across Greater London, including Gatwick Airport station and Stansted Airport station.

• Follow a 4 on 4 off night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:00, including a 45-minute unpaid break.

• Work without being on a call-out rota and avoid extensive regional travel.

⛳️ Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or a comparable qualification.

• Demonstrated experience in working with escalators and moving walkways.

• Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.

• A valid UK driving license is mandatory.

• An experienced escalator engineer residing within the M25 area.

• Applicants must hold the appropriate right to work.
