Escalator Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee, maintain, and respond to service calls for escalators and moving walkways produced by various manufacturers.

• Service, maintain, and repair escalators and moving walkways at major rail and underground facilities.

• Work on KONE TM, RTV and RTK models, Schindler 9300 escalators, Anlev systems, and Otis 506 NCE equipment.

• Conduct fault diagnosis on mechanical and electrical systems.

• Ensure the safe and reliable operation of escalator systems throughout the Scotland Central Belt region.

• Provide exceptional service, prioritize safety, and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Execute thorough risk assessments.

• Keep site log cards updated during each visit.

• Utilize a mobile communications device to log service calls and access customer and equipment details.

• Operate in prominent, safety-sensitive transport infrastructure settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 with significant technical knowledge.

• Demonstrated experience in maintaining and executing minor repairs on various electrical, mechanical, or electronic equipment in client environments.

• Proficiency in using computers or PDAs is essential.

• Capability to utilize a mobile communications device for logging calls and retrieving customer and equipment information.

• Strong escalator engineering background, including NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or its equivalent.

• Must possess appropriate rights to work.

• Sponsorship is not an option.
