ERA Caseworker, Service Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of disaster services programs within a designated geographic region.

• Manage and guide disaster program staff and volunteers.

• Execute programs related to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

• Foster the development and leadership of disaster volunteers across various disaster-cycle functions.

• Oversee volunteer-driven disaster services initiatives, including mass care, response, community preparedness, recovery, planning, and readiness.

• Monitor, gather, and analyze business data to enhance service delivery.

• Ensure adherence to data protection and privacy regulations.

• Develop and enhance plans for the delivery of disaster cycle services programs.

• Train, coach, delegate, coordinate, assess, and manage the performance of employees and volunteers.

• Collaborate with the Disaster Workforce Engagement Team.

• Prepare and mobilize communities while engaging community members, emergency management, government entities, faith-based organizations, and other partners.

• Coordinate community listening and engagement initiatives.

• Cultivate relationships across internal business lines in a matrix management setting.

• Create and implement strategies to achieve regional objectives.

• Act as the local Red Cross disaster subject matter expert.

• Collaborate with local organizations and leaders to enhance community resilience.

• Initiate and manage disaster relief operations.

• Serve as a disaster leader upon fulfilling training requirements.

• Deploy and engage in operations beyond the home region.

• Direct daily operations of the work unit.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• At least 3 years of related experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.

• Minimum of 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.

• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in developing project plans and budgets.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the program or service.

• Capable of creating presentations and developing training materials.

• Skilled in formulating strategies to meet organizational objectives.

• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities for ongoing program or service enhancements.

• Experience collaborating with diverse groups and individuals.

• Proficient in facilitation, problem solving, marketing, leadership, and partnership management.

• Competent in planning, public speaking, project management, and process improvement.

• Customer-focused, organized, solutions-oriented, externally minded, and team-oriented.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Familiar with federal, state, and local employment laws.

• Availability to work outside regular hours, including nights and weekends.

• Ability to work under “steady state” conditions.

• Capable of functioning as part of a team.

• Regional disaster employees must deploy outside their area at least once yearly.

• Must satisfy all training and physical capacity requirements for deployment.

• Travel may be necessary.

• Must frequently lift or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds.

• Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
