Epic Systems Analyst – RTE, Cadence, Prelude

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, development, testing, training, deployment, and ongoing support of Epic applications.

• Collect and refine stakeholder requirements, map workflows, and design Epic configurations that align with operational objectives and policies.

• Create and maintain specifications, decision logs, design documents, configuration documentation, workflows, and support procedures.

• Perform gap analyses for upgrades, regulatory changes, and new initiatives.

• Assist with small projects and enhancements related to implementations and upgrades.

• Configure Epic records, master files, profiles, rules, security classes, and workflows.

• Develop and execute unit, integrated, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans; resolve defects and document test outcomes.

• Validate interfaces, printing, reporting, and downstream workflows.

• Coordinate release management, environment transitions, and downtime procedures.

• Provide go-live support and hypercare after implementation, along with at-the-elbow assistance.

• Manage service requests and incidents, ensure compliance with SLAs, and perform triage, documentation, and root-cause analysis.

• Collaborate with interface teams on HL7, FHIR, PDFs, CCD/CCDA, and other data exchange workflows.

• Partner with analytics teams for Clarity/Caboodle extracts, registries, and operational reporting.

• Assist in regulatory readiness, audits, privacy/security controls, and processes aligned with ITIL.

• Support the design and delivery of role-based training and maintain the CareConnect curriculum.

• Manage training-related requests and incidents, document resolutions, and recommend preventive improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

• Alternatively, 5+ years of experience in system/application analysis, support, or related IT roles.

• 1–3 years of experience in system/application analysis, support, or related IT experience.

• Proficiency with Epic application(s) and healthcare workflows.

• Strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing.

• Familiarity with ITIL, change control, SDLC practices, system governance, and both waterfall and agile project methodologies.

• Ability to effectively communicate with clinical and operational stakeholders as well as managed service providers.

• Capability to produce clear and concise documentation.

• Ability to support small to medium initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• For the Application Training role: Epic Training Environment Build certification/proficiency or the ability to obtain it within the required timeframe.

• For the Application Training role: At least 1 year of experience in training environment build or application support.

• Current Epic certification or proficiency in relevant modules is preferred for the Application Build role.

• Epic Principal Trainer certification(s) preferred or the ability to obtain within the required timeframe.

• ITIL Foundation certification is desired but not mandatory.

• Experience with healthcare systems, regulations, compliance standards, cloud platforms, business intelligence, and analytics tools is preferred.
