Epic Analyst, Community Connect Professional Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assess workflows, data gathering, reporting details, and technical challenges related to Epic software.

• Propose, design, develop, configure, implement, and provide support for assigned Epic applications.

• Convert departmental needs into business functional requirements.

• Create and sustain Epic application content in line with functional specifications.

• Conduct unit testing and transition builds for functional or integrated testing.

• Document and escalate system issues through the internal hierarchy and engage with vendors as necessary.

• Populate databases during initial system implementations with support from Epic.

• Gather enhancement and functionality requirements and draft specifications.

• Evaluate data conversion requirements and ensure interface data aligns with business needs.

• Develop and document project team procedures and implement change-control processes.

• Engage in training development and provide training to end users.

• Address end-user issues and explore inquiries.

• Collaborate with report writers to guarantee necessary reports are accessible.

• Prioritize and execute system modifications while assessing new release features.

• Liaise with Epic representatives and the end-user community to ensure the system fulfills organizational requirements.

• Offer end-user support during implementation and act as an application expert during rollouts.

• Identify, communicate, and resolve system issues to enhance system capabilities.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Health Administration, Business Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field.

• Two years of experience with Epic or integrated EMR systems.

• Alternatively, an Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field along with four years of relevant Information Technology experience may be accepted.

• Alternatively, a High School Diploma or equivalent combined with seven years of relevant Information Technology experience may be accepted.

• Alternatively, one year of Epic build and/or support experience may be accepted.

• Epic Module Certification as mandated by the position.

• CPHIMS certification is preferred.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Capability to multitask.
