This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee regulatory sensing and analysis for designated environmental and product non-emissions regulatory sectors.
• Convert intricate technical, legal, and regulatory requirements into straightforward business guidance.
• Predict emerging regulatory changes and evaluate their technical, commercial, and strategic repercussions.
• Deliver actionable recommendations to leadership, technical specialists, and product teams.
• Formulate and manage the company's regulatory positions and advocacy strategies.
• Direct cross-functional regulatory advocacy initiatives from initiation to completion.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, Product, Legal, Government Relations, and other stakeholders.
• Establish and nurture relationships with regulators, industry associations, customers, and other external entities.
• Advocate for company interests across global markets and diverse audiences.
• Generate and disseminate regulatory intelligence, strategic recommendations, educational resources, and cohesive regulatory messages.
• Create strategic frameworks and analyses that support business strategy, product planning, compliance efforts, and decision-making processes.
• Oversee multiple cross-functional regulatory projects and continuous improvement endeavors.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, resources, tools, and processes.
• Identify process deficiencies, implement improvement strategies, and share lessons learned across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Policy, Law, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related technical or scientific field.
• Proven experience in environmental and/or regulatory policy.
• Strong comprehension of emerging product regulatory requirements and their implications for business and product strategies.
• Documented experience leading global projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with EU policymakers, trade associations, and industry groups is highly preferred.
• Previous background in government, a trade association, or strategic regulatory development is an asset.
• Familiarity with major EU materials and product regulatory frameworks, including EU POPs, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, ESPR, and the EU Battery Regulation.
• Experience collaborating with in-house legal counsel to evaluate emerging product regulatory risks.
• Demonstrated capability in leading cross-functional subject matter expert teams and projects.
• Strong environmental knowledge covering air, exhaust, water, waste, sustainability, and/or materials.
• Ability to evaluate environmental data and its business implications.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to interpret complex and occasionally conflicting information, conduct gap analyses, benchmark current and desired states, and formulate actionable recommendations and strategies.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Robust planning, project, and risk management skills.
• Ability to develop and enhance systems and processes.
• Competence in eliminating inefficiencies, addressing obstacles, documenting workflows, and implementing sustainable solutions.
