This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Identify and assess new client opportunities and sales potential within assigned product lines to foster business growth.
• Coordinate initiatives to improve market penetration.
• Assist and guide Account Managers in recognizing opportunities and enhancing customer loyalty and sales revenue.
• Create and implement sales strategies from initial prospecting to final closing.
• Establish trusted relationships with major decision-makers to reach agreements that align with stakeholder interests.
• Support Account Managers in the development and execution of strategies.
• Serve as a trusted account advisor and engage technical authorities to facilitate solution processes.
• Share customer insights with the Business Unit.
• Participate in technical visits to Business Unit, manufacturing, R&D sites, and Demo centers.
• Assist with new Product Introduction prospects within the territory to enhance adoption and revenue returns.
• Lead the sales funnel and forecasting efforts in collaboration with country leads and sales teams.
• Develop value propositions and strategies to meet sales goals and targets.
• Utilize Thermo Fisher Scientific sales tools to effectively manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts in a timely manner.
• Monitor competitor and industry activity while introducing new products and services.
• Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and scientific leaders to advocate for CMD products and solutions.
• Represent CMD at knowledge-based seminars and customer workshops.
• Share account information and sales leads across commercial divisions.
• Collaborate in a team-selling environment with internal company resources to address customer challenges.
• Mentor, lead, and inspire the account management team.
• Coordinate with sales, field application, lab application, IES specialists, and other internal partners to provide technical expertise.
• Train country sales teams to boost confidence and positioning when marketing assigned product lines.
• Maintain and enhance technical knowledge of assigned product lines and company literature.
• Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at customer locations.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the analytical/relevant instrument market and managing complex, high-value accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree in science is required.
• Master’s degree in science is preferred.
• Preferred strong market knowledge and business insight into the industry sector, markets, and key trends.
• Experience in conducting seminars and presentations.
• A commercial mindset and strong drive to win new business.
• A validated and unwavering pursuit of opportunities.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in English and additional languages as necessary for the assigned region.
• Proven commercial excellence within a matrix environment.
• Ability to articulate and sell the technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s scientific product portfolio.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 80%, including overnight trips.
