This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Execute thorough forensic investigations related to structural failures and construction defects.
• Conduct site inspections and collect pertinent data to facilitate forensic analysis.
• Apply engineering principles and practices to evaluate and analyze structural problems.
• Create clear and concise technical reports that summarize findings and conclusions.
• Offer expert testimony in legal cases when necessary.
• Keep updated with industry trends, regulations, and standards pertaining to structural engineering.
• Travel frequently for site investigations.
• Provide support to projects and teams within the Greenville/Charlotte area.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Preference for a Licensed Engineer Intern (EI or EIT), or the ability to obtain this status.
• Willingness to travel by road several days each week, including local and regional air travel.
• Strong foundation in structural engineering principles and standard construction practices.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
• U.S. Person status is required for access to ITAR-controlled information.
