This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade field equipment while providing necessary customer and internal training.
• Investigate technical challenges, warranty issues, and in-field failures, resolving them efficiently and economically while keeping Product Specialists and Service Management updated.
• Collaborate with local Service Centres and partners to efficiently schedule workload based on site location, priorities, and cost considerations.
• Organize and prioritize workload to achieve business objectives and fulfill customer requirements.
• Diagnose system issues and offer repair solutions, keeping customers informed about progress, particularly during machine maintenance or downtime.
• Record system issues and preventive maintenance in customer site logs.
• Collect and document machine information to monitor performance.
• Complete machine installations, Engineering Change Notices, and system hardware/software upgrades.
• Suggest enhancements to equipment service, reliability, and performance.
• Escalate complex technical issues to technical support.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules in accordance with company specifications.
• Undertake other responsibilities as required by the position and business needs.
• A recognized engineering qualification is required, along with post-qualification experience in a support role.
• Must demonstrate high-level mechanical competency.
• Familiarity with local Health and Safety regulations and adherence to company guidelines is essential.
• Effectively represent the company while addressing the needs of business partners; cultivate partner relationships through trust and performance.
• Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to prioritize, plan, and monitor personal activities, performance, and progress.
• Possess exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong logical troubleshooting skills with the capability to isolate problems at the PCB or component level.
• Ability to work effectively with electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of AC/DC power distribution and digital/analogue circuitry is necessary.
• Availability for on-call duties (including some weekends) is required.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in using personal computers, particularly Microsoft Office, and navigating network sites and email communications.
• Valid Driver's License is necessary.
