Entry Level Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment in the field.

• Provide training to customers and internal teams as necessary.

• Investigate technical concerns, warranty issues, and failures occurring in the field.

• Efficiently resolve problems in a cost-effective manner while keeping Product Specialists and Service Management informed.

• Coordinate with local Service Centres and partners to organize and prioritize workloads.

• Strategically plan and prioritize tasks to align with business objectives and customer requirements.

• Diagnose system malfunctions and offer repair remedies while keeping customers updated.

• Record system issues and preventative maintenance in customer site logs.

• Collect and document machine data to assess performance.

• Carry out machine installations, Engineering Change Notices, and software/hardware upgrades.

• Suggest enhancements to equipment serviceability, reliability, and performance.

• Escalate complex technical issues to the technical support team.

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the position and business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a recognized engineering qualification along with post-qualification experience in a support role.

• Mechanically skilled to a high standard.

• Familiar with local Health and Safety regulations and adheres to company guidelines.

• Effectively represents the company while addressing the needs of business partners; builds partner relationships through trust and performance.

• Flexible with the ability to prioritize, plan, and monitor personal activities, performance, and progress.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Possesses logical troubleshooting abilities and can isolate issues at PCB or component levels.

• Capable of working effectively with electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

• Knowledgeable in AC/DC power distribution and digital/analogue circuitry.

• Must be available for on-call duties on certain weekends.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Proficient in using personal computers, particularly Microsoft Office, network sites, and email communication.

• Valid driver's license is required.
