This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Accountable for the installation, upkeep, repair, and enhancement of equipment in the field, along with providing necessary training for customers and internal staff.
• Investigates technical issues, warranty failures, and in-field problems, efficiently and economically resolving issues while keeping Product Specialists and Service Management updated.
• Collaborates with local Service Centres/partners to discuss workload and schedule efficiently based on site location, priority, and cost considerations.
• Plans and prioritizes tasks to fulfill business objectives and meet customer requirements.
• Diagnoses system issues and offers repair solutions, keeping customers informed about progress, particularly during machine maintenance or downtime.
• Records system issues and preventative maintenance in customer site logs.
• Collects and documents machine data to monitor performance.
• Completes equipment installations, Engineering Change Notices related to system upgrades, and hardware/software enhancements that may require technical support.
• Suggests improvements for equipment service, reliability, and performance.
• Escalates challenging technical issues to technical support for prompt guidance or assistance.
• Establishes and implements preventative maintenance schedules in accordance with company specifications.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities within the role to meet business needs.
• Operates directly within the assigned field territory, servicing and maintaining company equipment, managing total customer service, troubleshooting and repairing high-speed cash-handling equipment, tracking parts/tools, and staying updated with Glory Global Solutions equipment changes.
• Reports to the Field Service Manager.
• Must possess a recognized engineering qualification with relevant post-qualification experience in a support capacity.
• Mechanically skilled to a high standard.
• Familiar with local Health and Safety regulations and able to operate within company guidelines.
• Effectively represents the company while addressing the needs of business partners, fostering relationships built on trust and performance.
• Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to prioritize, plan, and monitor own activities, performance, and progress.
• Exhibits outstanding customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Possesses logical troubleshooting abilities and the skill to isolate issues at the PCB or component level.
• Capable of effectively working with electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledgeable about AC/DC power distribution and digital/analog circuitry.
• Must be available for on-call duties (including some weekends).
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in using personal computers, particularly Microsoft Office, navigating network sites, and email communication.
• Holder of a valid driver's license.
