Entry-Level Construction Materials Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Conduct field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.

• Engage in communication with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractors’ representatives, and others concerning construction sites, project requirements, testing, observations, inspections, and results.

• Transport material samples along with identifying documentation to the laboratory for additional testing and analysis.

• Compile, prepare, and deliver data and observations in both written and digital formats for daily submission to the Terracon Project Manager.

• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and workspaces.

• Assist in the scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.

• Operate under the close supervision of higher-level technicians or professional staff.

• Provide clear documentation of findings and outcomes.

• Relay information to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy prior to submission.

• Submit documentation and communicate results as instructed by the Project Manager.

• Gradually take on more training and responsibilities in work assignments.

• Adhere to safety protocols, perform pre-task planning, report safety issues, and maintain quality standards across all projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation record may be required.

• Achieve ACI certification within 6 months to 1 year.

• Successfully complete relevant internal safety certifications.

• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months to 1 year (preferred).

• Have 6 months of experience (preferred).
