Enterprise Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold the enterprise architecture roadmap for Azure, endpoint management, and manufacturing applications.

• Define the architectural standards for Azure concerning networking, identity, security, governance, resilience, monitoring, and cost management.

• Establish architecture and standards for Microsoft Intune, focusing on device enrollment, configuration, application deployment, compliance, patching, and endpoint security.

• Guide the architecture, implementation, integration, and modernization of Manufacturo, Apriso, 3DEXPERIENCE, and associated manufacturing and engineering systems.

• Design integrations among MES, PLM, ERP, quality systems, and enterprise data platforms.

• Collaborate with plant operations and OT teams on connectivity, security, production availability, and change management.

• Define identity and access management patterns utilizing Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, single sign-on, and Conditional Access.

• Establish requirements for application lifecycle, environment, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

• Evaluate technology and vendor proposals for architectural alignment, integration complexity, supportability, and total cost of ownership.

• Maintain architecture diagrams, reference designs, integration standards, and technical decision documentation.

• Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to internal teams, implementation partners, and managed service providers.

• Translate business requirements into solution designs and effectively communicate recommendations to technical teams and business leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least eight years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, infrastructure, or application architecture, including a minimum of three years in an architecture leadership position.

• Proven experience in designing and governing Microsoft Azure environments, including identity, networking, security, monitoring, and hybrid connectivity.

• Strong expertise with Microsoft Intune, Windows endpoint management, application deployment, device compliance, and Microsoft Entra ID.

• Experience in architecting or integrating manufacturing or engineering applications.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and the functions of MES, PLM, ERP, traceability, and quality management systems.

• Experience in designing integrations using APIs, middleware, messaging, and enterprise data services.

• Ability to design for security, availability, scalability, and recovery while considering production constraints.

• Experience leading technical projects and coordinating efforts among business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.

• Strong skills in documentation, communication, and problem-solving.

• U.S. Person status is required: US Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

• Must be eligible to obtain any necessary export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.

• Preferred: Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities or enterprise-wide manufacturing transformation initiatives.

• Preferred: Experience with two or more manufacturing platforms such as 3D Experience, Apriso, Manufacturo, CQ, or others.

• Preferred: Familiarity with IT/OT segmentation, shop-floor connectivity, and industrial cybersecurity practices.

• Preferred: Experience supporting digital thread initiatives that connect product design, manufacturing execution, and product lifecycle data.

• Preferred: Familiarity with infrastructure as code, automated deployments, and architecture governance frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMS, DoD STIGs, Secure Cloud Services (SACA, SCCA).

• Preferred: Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
