This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +12 more states.
• Engage in the design, construction, maintenance, and improvement of the Navitus IT infrastructure and application ecosystem.
• Work collaboratively with clients, staff, IT colleagues, and stakeholders to determine user needs, evaluate technologies, and propose solution alternatives.
• Manage multiple systems while architecting and executing both short-term and long-term solutions.
• Serve as the technical lead for corporate strategic initiatives.
• Conduct research on the utilization and capacity planning of existing technologies to support future growth.
• Collaborate with IT teams on proof-of-concept projects.
• Analyze and design technical solutions for infrastructure and enterprise application initiatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert in infrastructure and architecture.
• Aid in the development and implementation of corporate information system policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on infrastructure operations, data center management, virtualization, and technology trends.
• Troubleshoot server-side application, operating system, and networking challenges.
• Provide knowledge training to colleagues.
• Offer after-hours support as needed.
• Participate in capacity planning and the formulation of long-term strategic systems and software objectives.
• Plan for upgrades and releases of operating systems and software.
• Research and propose automated system-administration and enterprise-application integration methods.
• Engage in the design, planning, implementation, and coordination necessary for the successful integration of new solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a minimum of 7+ years of relevant professional experience in hardware or software installation and support.
• Proven experience in supporting capacity planning and long-term strategic objectives for systems and software.
• Familiarity with planning upgrades/releases for Linux and Windows operating systems and related software.
• Capability to research and recommend automated system-administration and enterprise-application integration strategies.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies, products, languages, and industry standards.
• Experience in designing, planning, implementing, and coordinating the integration of new solutions.
• Proficiency in interviewing end-users regarding functionality, interfaces, issues, and usability.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry practices and knowledge of HIPAA is a plus.
• Awareness of relevant data privacy practices and regulations.
• Availability for on-call duties.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to engage in and support compliance program objectives.
