This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate the technical requirements of prospects and utilize comprehensive knowledge of Chainguard offerings to demonstrate how deals address unmet client needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at all levels within organizations.
• Navigate and negotiate competing needs among various organizational stakeholders.
• Achieve technical victories through product demonstrations, responses to RFPs/RFIs, leading proofs of value (POVs), collaborating with engineering on requested features, and participating in conferences and industry events.
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to assist customers in assessing and validating the value of solutions.
• Secure new customer accounts while expanding the existing customer base.
• Take ownership of all technical elements associated with sales opportunities.
• Assist current clients in recognizing the value of Chainguard products.
• Actively listen to customers to understand their challenges.
• Conduct product demonstrations and facilitate proofs of concept (POCs).
• Engage in webinars, meetups, conferences, and other marketing initiatives.
• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer.
• Familiarity with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales methodologies.
• Over 3 years of experience in selling to Enterprise prospects.
• Experience in selling to Mid Market prospects.
• Knowledge of container technologies, including Kubernetes, Serverless, and Docker.
• Understanding of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, Google, etc.
• Experience in cloud security or container security.
• Background in application security.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Demonstrated ability to persist in the face of challenges to achieve success.
• Capacity to serve as a trusted advisor and build credibility with clients.
• Strong team player with a commitment to supporting and mentoring colleagues.
• Must reside in the Central region of the United States.
