Enterprise Logistics Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee strategic partnerships with 3PLs, brokers, carriers, freight forwarders, and various logistics providers.

• Set up and track transportation performance metrics, such as freight expenditures, on-time delivery rates, claims, accessories, and provider performance.

• Perform business and shipment-level assessments to uncover cost, service, and process challenges, and initiate corrective measures.

• Collaborate with business units to enhance transportation performance and operational practices.

• Create and uphold enterprise transportation policies, standards, reporting mechanisms, and governance frameworks.

• Negotiate transportation rates, contracts, service levels, and commercial conditions.

• Discover and execute opportunities for transportation cost reduction through network optimization, consolidation, mode selection, provider performance, and enhanced operating practices.

• Conduct competitive transportation analysis and manage periodic RFP processes.

• Assess transportation provider and network alternatives.

• Act as the enterprise escalation point for major transportation cost, service, or provider challenges.

• Supervise international logistics provider performance and assist with international and intercompany transportation needs.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of international shipping documentation, HTS classification, and import/export processes.

• Direct transportation-related initiatives, provider transitions, and process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or 3PL roles.

• Proven experience in managing complex, multi-site, or decentralized transportation environments.

• Expertise in overseeing strategic logistics-provider relationships, including service expectations, KPIs, business evaluations, escalations, commercial negotiations, performance accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Demonstrated success in reducing freight costs, enhancing on-time delivery, negotiating transportation agreements, and boosting provider performance.

• Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficient knowledge of international transportation, import/export documentation, HTS codes, and intercompany shipments.

• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.

• Capacity to influence across business units and external partners.

• Ability to function in a decentralized and dynamic environment while establishing structure.

• Strong experience with Excel, reporting, transportation, and ERP systems.
