
Enterprise Account Manager – Retail, Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Drive strategic growth across customer accounts in retail, insurance, manufacturing, and hospitality sectors within the Northeast region.
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive-level stakeholders.
• Formulate long-term account strategies and detailed business plans for accounts.
• Lead cross-functional and extended account teams to broaden HPE’s presence in networking, hybrid cloud, AI, compute, storage, and services.
• Convert customer business challenges and objectives into IT opportunities.
• Build and manage account pipelines, leading deals to closure.
• Cultivate relationships with executives, customers, and partners.
• Oversee the partner network and coordinate partner strategy.
• Engage with customer CTOs/CIOs to present relevant IT trends and HPE solutions.
• Provide feedback to HPE teams to enhance customer experience, satisfaction, and loyalty.
• Organize regional pursuit resources and take part in pricing and resource investment decisions.
• Preferred candidates should hold a university or bachelor’s degree, or possess equivalent experience.
• An engineering or technology background, advanced degree, or MBA is desirable.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in enterprise technology sales or strategic account management is required.
• Previous experience in the IT industry is preferred.
• Experience working in an IT department and/or with customers is an advantage.
• Background in various sales roles is beneficial.
• Significant experience supporting retail, insurance, manufacturing, or hospitality clients is highly desired.
• Strong capabilities in strategic planning, sales execution, IT industry knowledge, and familiarity with the HPE portfolio.
• Ability to lead dispersed and indirect teams within a complex matrix organization.
• Skills in networking and relationship-building.
• Proficiency in influencing and negotiating.
• Solid business and financial understanding, including the ability to interpret financial reports.
• Commitment to operational excellence and integrity.
• Consulting expertise and knowledge of customer industry landscapes, enterprise architecture, and partner ecosystems.
• Preferred candidates will be located in Maryland.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25–40% is required.
