This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Promote the complete product range of Abbott Core Laboratory Diagnostics Division to large, intricate strategic accounts and potential clients.
• Oversee strategic customer relationships, ensuring retention, market penetration, and the acquisition of new customers.
• Build relationships at senior levels to enhance profitable sales and safeguard existing business.
• Evaluate customers’ business objectives, strategies, and needs.
• Identify innovative solutions and formulate account-specific value propositions for Abbott.
• Navigate and negotiate complex, multi-tiered solution-selling processes involving multiple stakeholders.
• Research strategic accounts, business landscapes, industry trends, and regulatory shifts.
• Understand the decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.
• Analyze financial performance metrics of accounts and negotiate long-term agreements.
• Provide leadership and guidance for Abbott’s interactions with strategic accounts.
• Create multi-year account plans and lead internal sales teams.
• Coordinate Abbott resources to implement strategic account initiatives.
• Advocate for customers within the company and foster relationships with Abbott.
• Directly engage with C-suite executives and senior leaders.
• Manage a varied portfolio of accounts across multiple locations.
• Take ownership of customer P&L and achieve profitable growth in line with LRP commitments.
• Travel across Pennsylvania, Western New York, and other US locations, including overnight stays.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 5 years of experience as a consultative partner/seller managing B2B operations.
• Proven experience collaborating with executives and C-suite members in sectors such as healthcare, informatics, communications, technology, or consultancy.
• Experience in leading complex enterprise transactions valued at $1 million or more.
• Capacity to forge long-term strategic relationships at senior levels.
• Ability to decipher complex organizations’ strategic plans and convert them into successful solutions.
• Relevant qualifications and credentials in healthcare, technology, or consultancy.
• Proficiency in value-based and solution selling methodologies.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and public speaking abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly evolving environments.
• Executive-level business and financial insight.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong networking and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%-80% within the assigned territory and other US locations.
• Candidates must reside within the territory.
• Preferred: advanced degree (MBA).
• Preferred: 7+ years of experience in developing and selling tailored solutions to senior-level/C-suite executives in healthcare institutions.
• Preferred: 7+ years of experience in understanding performance metrics in hospital or laboratory environments.
• Preferred: familiarity with the diagnostics industry.
