This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the go-to-market strategy for Neara's electrical modeling module in the US.
• Oversee industry development, business development, and pipeline initiatives within the segment.
• Create and implement territory and account strategies.
• Analyze the market, prioritize utility clients, and secure initial reference accounts.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from outbound research to technical evaluation, procurement, and closing.
• Engage with stakeholders across distribution planning, operations, GIS, asset management, engineering, IT, and enterprise architecture.
• Craft the commercial narrative and integration story for a product that complements existing systems.
• Collaborate with the Head of Product and CTO to provide insights on market trends, value propositions, and product-market fit.
• Cross-sell into current utility accounts alongside Enterprise Account Executives.
• Work with Marketing on collateral, campaigns, and events.
• Represent Neara at conferences and industry gatherings.
• Assist with pricing, packaging, and contract decisions.
• Keep an eye on market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory factors, and customer feedback.
• 5–7+ years in enterprise sales or business development, with significant experience selling software, systems, or services to US electric utilities.
• Experience in sales or work within large energy utility organizations, including planning, operations, engineering, GIS, asset management, and IT.
• In-depth knowledge of the utility distribution sector, covering electrical network modeling, GIS and ADMS integration, system planning and workflow, hosting capacity, and DER interconnection.
• Proven success in selling emerging or first-of-its-kind products.
• Direct experience in selling distribution planning or network modeling solutions is advantageous.
• Established network of relevant contacts within US utilities.
• Experience managing complex enterprise deals with lengthy cycles and multiple stakeholders.
• Capability to interpret market and customer insights into clear product requirements for technical teams.
• Strategic and operational proficiency in pipeline management, forecasting, and cadence.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, travel demands, and the fast-paced environment of a high-growth company.
• Familiarity with modern sales methodologies is a plus.
• Legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying; visa sponsorship considerations should be addressed in the application.
