This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Take ownership of the complete sales cycle: including prospecting, discovery, demonstrations, technical assessments, negotiations, and closing deals across Web Search, Content, Answer, and Research APIs.
β’ Engage with developer-focused customers, such as AI/ML engineers, product managers, and data leaders who are integrating search and retrieval into agent-based and LLM-driven products.
β’ Conduct customized product demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects, collaborating with Sales Engineering to validate accuracy, latency, and freshness against client benchmarks and competitor offerings.
β’ Manage multi-stakeholder transactions, ensuring alignment among technical evaluators, security/procurement teams, and executive sponsors at AI laboratories, rapidly growing AI firms, and large enterprises.
β’ Develop and oversee a sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound qualification, and strategic partnerships; collaborate closely with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs).
β’ Work in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to influence the product roadmap, enhance packaging, and facilitate seamless onboarding for clients.
β’ Monitor and report on sales pipeline, win rates, and opportunities for expansion; provide accurate forecasts against sales quotas.
β’ Communicate market insights regarding competitive positioning, pricing, and product deficiencies to the Product and Marketing teams.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of comprehensive sales experience in a technical high-growth SaaS environment, APIs/developer tools, or infrastructure; familiarity with AI/ML is a significant advantage.
β’ Demonstrated success in surpassing sales targets and finalizing multi-stakeholder deals with technical and enterprise clients.
β’ Strong technical knowledge: able to comfortably discuss APIs, the trade-offs of latency/accuracy, and how real-time web data supports LLMs and agents.
β’ Experience in selling to developers, AI/ML teams, and technical decision-makers.
β’ Possess a consultative approach, curiosity, and competitiveness; excels in a dynamic startup atmosphere.
β’ Practical experience with APIs/SDKs, such as testing endpoints using Postman, is desirable.
β’ Background in selling to AI labs, agentic AI startups, or buyers in search/data infrastructure is an added benefit.
β’ Understanding of the competitive landscape surrounding AI-native search is a plus.
