This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the language quality authority and the primary client-facing linguistic specialist for a prominent global technology client.
• Take responsibility for the locale’s interpretation of the client’s quality standards.
• Ensure that the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers possess a unified understanding of quality benchmarks.
• Serve as the key liaison for the client’s Language Manager on discussions regarding quality, arbitration, and escalations.
• Foster consistency, quality governance, and ongoing enhancement across UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support content.
• Review updates to style guides and glossaries, evaluate impacted quality categories and content types, and document changes.
• Monitor corrections and feedback from the client Language Manager during calibration and quality calls.
• Conduct alignment roundtables with the language community.
• Publish a structured monthly quality report encompassing performance metrics, areas for improvement, style guide updates, errors, and arbitration results.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to Reviewers, conduct shadowing sessions, and deliver training based on alignment data.
• Create style guide proposals based on recurring justification patterns.
• Share cross-locale patterns with the Welocalize Quality Manager.
• Maintain alignment with the client and raise evidence-based concerns.
• Oversee the locale’s review service score, RQE audit and alignment performance, shared quality understanding, arbitration record integrity, and the relationship with the client Language Manager.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles.
• Direct experience as the main point of contact for client Language Managers.
• Experience in managing formal arbitration or escalation processes and facilitating conflict resolution.
• Extensive, practical knowledge of localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
• Capability to analyze style guide modifications, recognize implicit client expectations, and map tolerance by content type.
• Practical experience with one-on-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and organized monthly quality reporting.
• Proficiency in tracking error concentrations, severity drift, and alignment scores, as well as translating justification patterns into style guide enhancements.
• Native-level fluency in Ukrainian.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Candidates must reside in one of the approved countries.
• Background check required as part of the onboarding process.
• Previous experience supporting major technology localization programs and utilizing calibration or alignment tools is preferred.
