This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary linguistic expert and language quality owner for a prominent global technology client.
• Take responsibility for the locale's interpretation of the client's quality standards.
• Ensure alignment among the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers regarding a unified quality standard.
• Serve as the principal contact for the client's Language Manager concerning quality discussions, arbitration, and escalations.
• Promote consistency, quality governance, and continuous enhancement across UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support content.
• Review and update style guides and glossaries, evaluate impacted quality categories and content types, and document changes.
• Monitor corrections and feedback from the client’s Language Manager based on calibration and quality calls.
• Conduct regular alignment roundtables with the language community.
• Produce a structured monthly quality report detailing performance, areas for improvement, style guide updates, errors, and arbitration results.
• Provide one-on-one coaching for Reviewers, conduct shadowing sessions, and deliver training tailored to alignment data.
• Create proposals for style guide updates based on recurring justification patterns.
• Share cross-locale patterns with the Welocalize Quality Manager.
• Maintain alignment with the client’s Language Manager and raise concerns based on evidence.
• Manage the locale’s review service score, including RQE audits and alignment performance.
• Foster a shared understanding of quality within the community.
• Ensure that arbitration records are accurate and well-documented.
• Oversee the working relationship with the client’s Language Manager, including clarifications, escalations, and expectation management.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles.
• Direct involvement as the primary contact for client Language Managers.
• Experience in managing formal arbitration or escalation processes and facilitating conflict resolution.
• Extensive, practical knowledge of localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
• Ability to analyze style guide modifications, identify implicit client expectations, and map tolerance based on content type.
• Hands-on experience with one-on-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and structured monthly quality reporting.
• Proficient in tracking error concentrations, severity drift, and alignment scores, and translating justification patterns into style guide enhancements.
• Native-level proficiency in Slovenian.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Candidates must reside in one of the approved countries.
• Background check required as part of the onboarding process.
• Previous experience supporting major technology localization initiatives and familiarity with calibration or alignment tools is preferred.
