This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary linguistic expert and quality owner for a prominent global technology client.
• Take responsibility for the locale's understanding of the client's quality standards.
• Ensure alignment among the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers regarding quality expectations.
• Serve as the main contact for the client’s Language Manager during discussions about quality, arbitration, and escalations.
• Promote consistency, quality governance, and continuous improvement across various content types, including UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support materials.
• Review updates to the style guide and glossary, evaluate how they affect quality categories and content types, and document changes.
• Monitor corrections and feedback from the client’s Language Manager based on calibration and quality calls.
• Conduct regular alignment roundtables with the language community.
• Distribute a structured monthly quality report that highlights performance, areas for improvement, style guide updates, significant errors, and arbitration results.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to Reviewers, facilitate shadowing sessions, and deliver training based on alignment data.
• Create style guide proposals based on recurring justification patterns.
• Share patterns across locales with the Welocalize Quality Manager.
• Maintain alignment with the client and raise concerns that are supported by evidence.
• Manage the locale’s review service score, including RQE audits and alignment performance.
• Ensure a shared understanding of quality within the community.
• Confirm that arbitration records are accurate and well-supported.
• Oversee the relationship with the client’s Language Manager, including handling clarifications, escalations, and expectation tracking.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles.
• Proven experience as the main point of contact for client Language Managers.
• Experience in managing formal arbitration or escalation processes.
• Skills in facilitating conflict resolution.
• Extensive practical experience with localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
• Ability to analyze style guide modifications and identify implicit client expectations.
• Capability to map tolerance levels by content type, including Marketing, Legal, and UI.
• Hands-on experience in one-on-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and structured monthly quality reporting.
• Proficient in tracking error concentrations, severity drift, and alignment scores.
• Native-level proficiency in Serbian (Cyrillic).
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Background check required as part of the onboarding process.
• Physical presence in one of the approved countries is necessary.
• Previous experience supporting major technology localization programs and familiarity with calibration or alignment tools is preferred.
