This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the language quality leader and primary linguistic expert for a prominent global technology client.
• Take ownership of the locale’s interpretation of the client's quality benchmarks.
• Ensure alignment among the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers regarding a unified quality standard.
• Serve as the main liaison for the client’s Language Manager concerning quality discussions, arbitration, and escalations.
• Promote consistency, quality governance, and ongoing improvement across various content types, including UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support materials.
• Review updates to style guides and glossaries, evaluate impacted quality categories and content types, and document modifications.
• Monitor corrections and feedback from the client Language Manager stemming from calibration and quality discussions.
• Organize regular alignment meetings with the language community.
• Generate a structured monthly quality report that includes performance metrics, areas for improvement, style guide updates, errors, and arbitration results.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to Reviewers, conduct shadowing sessions, and deliver training based on alignment data.
• Create proposals for style guide enhancements based on recurring justification patterns.
• Communicate cross-locale trends to the Welocalize Quality Manager.
• Ensure alignment with decisions made by the client Language Manager and raise evidence-based concerns as needed.
• Manage the locale’s review service score, RQE audit and alignment performance, shared quality understanding, arbitration record integrity, and client relationship.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles.
• Direct experience serving as the primary contact for client Language Managers.
• Experience managing formal arbitration or escalation processes.
• Proven experience in facilitating conflict resolution.
• In-depth, practical knowledge of localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
• Ability to analyze style guide modifications, discern implicit client expectations, and assess tolerance levels by content type.
• Hands-on experience with one-on-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment meetings, and structured monthly quality reporting.
• Proficiency in tracking error concentrations, severity variations, and alignment scores, and transforming justification patterns into style guide enhancements.
• Native-level proficiency in Maltese.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Applicants must be physically located in one of the designated countries.
• A background check is required as part of the onboarding process.
• Previous experience supporting major technology localization initiatives and familiarity with calibration or alignment tools is preferred.
