This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary linguistic expert and quality owner for a prominent global technology client.
• Take responsibility for the locale’s interpretation of the client's quality standards.
• Facilitate alignment among the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers on a unified quality standard.
• Serve as the key contact for the client’s Language Manager regarding quality discussions, arbitration, and escalations.
• Promote consistency, quality governance, and ongoing improvement across UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support content.
• Review updates to the style guide and glossary, evaluate the impacted quality categories and content types, and document changes.
• Monitor corrections and feedback from the client’s Language Manager during calibration and quality calls.
• Conduct regular alignment roundtables with the language community.
• Publish a structured monthly quality report that outlines performance, areas for improvement, updates to the style guide, notable errors, and arbitration results.
• Mentor Reviewers on a one-to-one basis, conduct shadowing sessions, and provide training based on alignment data.
• Create style guide proposals based on recurring justification patterns.
• Share cross-locale trends with the Welocalize Quality Manager.
• Maintain alignment with the client and raise concerns based on evidence.
• Oversee the locale’s review service score, which includes RQE audits and alignment performance.
• Foster a shared understanding of quality within the community.
• Ensure that arbitration records are valid and well-documented.
• Manage the working relationship with the client’s Language Manager, addressing clarifications, escalations, and tracking expectations.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance positions.
• Direct experience serving as the primary contact for client Language Managers.
• Experience in managing formal arbitration or escalation procedures.
• Proven ability to facilitate conflict resolution.
• Extensive, practical experience with localization evaluation frameworks such as RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
• Capability to analyze changes in style guides and recognize implicit client expectations.
• Ability to map tolerance levels by content type, including Marketing, Legal, and UI.
• Practical experience in one-to-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and structured monthly quality reporting.
• Proficiency in tracking error concentrations, severity shifts, and alignment metrics.
• Expertise in transforming justification patterns into style guide enhancements.
• Native-level proficiency in Latvian.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Background check required as part of the onboarding process.
• Must be physically located in one of the approved countries.
• Previous experience supporting major technology localization initiatives and working with calibration or alignment tools is preferred.
