This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary linguistic expert and language quality owner for a prominent global technology client.
• Take charge of the locale's interpretation of the client's quality expectations.
• Ensure alignment among the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers regarding common quality benchmarks.
• Serve as the main liaison for the client's Language Manager during quality discussions, arbitration, and escalations.
• Promote consistency, quality governance, and ongoing enhancement across UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support content.
• Review updates to the style guide and glossary, evaluate impacted quality categories and content types, and document changes.
• Monitor corrections and feedback from the client's Language Manager following calibration and quality discussions.
• Organize regular alignment roundtables within the language community.
• Produce a structured monthly quality report that highlights performance, areas for improvement, style guide updates, significant errors, and arbitration results.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to Reviewers using specific examples.
• Conduct shadowing sessions and offer training based on alignment data.
• Create style guide proposals based on recurring justification patterns.
• Share cross-locale trends with the Welocalize Quality Manager.
• Maintain alignment with the client and address evidence-based concerns.
• Manage the locale’s review service score, RQE audit and alignment performance, shared quality understanding, arbitration record integrity, and relationship with the client’s Language Manager.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles.
• Direct experience serving as the primary point of contact for client Language Managers.
• Proven experience managing formal arbitration or escalation processes.
• Experience in facilitating conflict resolution.
• In-depth, practical knowledge of localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
• Ability to analyze changes in style guides, identify implicit client expectations, and determine content type tolerance.
• Hands-on experience with one-on-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and structured monthly quality reporting.
• Proficiency in tracking error concentrations, severity shifts, and alignment scores.
• Native-level proficiency in Lao.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Background check required as part of the onboarding process.
• Must be physically located in one of the approved countries.
• Preferred: Previous experience supporting major technology localization programs and working with calibration or alignment tools.
