This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the language quality owner and the primary linguistic expert interacting with a leading global technology client.
• Take ownership of the locale’s interpretation of the client's quality standards.
• Ensure that the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers have a unified understanding of quality expectations.
• Serve as the main contact for the client’s Language Manager regarding quality discussions, arbitration, and escalations.
• Promote consistency, quality governance, and ongoing enhancement of UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support content.
• Review updates to the style guide and glossary, evaluate impacted quality categories and content types, and document changes.
• Monitor corrections and feedback from calibration and quality calls provided by the client’s Language Manager.
• Conduct regular alignment roundtables with the language community.
• Compile and publish a structured monthly quality digest that includes performance metrics, areas for improvement, style guide updates, notable errors, and arbitration outcomes.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to Reviewers using specific examples.
• Facilitate shadowing sessions and deliver training informed by alignment data.
• Create proposals for style guide updates based on recurring justification patterns.
• Communicate cross-locale patterns to the Welocalize Quality Manager.
• Ensure alignment with decisions made by the client’s Language Manager and escalate evidence-based concerns when necessary.
• Manage the locale’s review service score, including RQE audits and alignment performance metrics.
• Uphold the community’s shared understanding of quality.
• Validate and maintain accurate arbitration records.
• Oversee the relationship with the client’s Language Manager, including clarifications, escalations, and tracking expectations.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles.
• Direct experience acting as the primary contact for client Language Managers.
• Proven experience managing formal arbitration or escalation processes.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating conflict resolution.
• Extensive, practical knowledge of localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
• Ability to analyze changes in style guides and discern implicit client expectations.
• Capability to map tolerance levels by content type, including Marketing, Legal, and UI.
• Hands-on experience with coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and structured monthly quality reporting.
• Proficient in tracking error concentrations, severity drift, and alignment scores.
• Skillful in transforming justification patterns into style guide enhancements.
• Native-level proficiency in Kyrgyz.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Background check required as part of the onboarding process.
• Must reside in one of the approved countries.
• Preferred experience in supporting major technology localization programs and using calibration or alignment tools.
