This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the language quality authority and primary linguistic expert interfacing with a prominent global technology client.
• Take ownership of the locale’s interpretation of the client's quality benchmarks.
• Ensure that the Post-Editing Lead, Post Editors, and Reviewers possess a unified understanding of quality criteria.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the client's Language Manager regarding quality discussions, arbitration, and escalations.
• Promote consistency, quality governance, and continual enhancement across UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support materials.
• Review updates to style guides and glossaries, evaluate impacted quality categories and content types, and document changes.
• Monitor client Language Manager corrections and feedback from calibration and quality discussions.
• Organize regular alignment roundtables with the language community.
• Compile and publish a structured monthly quality report detailing performance, areas for improvement, style guide updates, significant errors, and arbitration results.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to Reviewers, conduct shadowing sessions, and deliver training based on alignment data.
• Create style guide recommendations from recurring justification trends.
• Share cross-locale trends with the Welocalize Quality Manager.
• Maintain alignment with the client and present evidence-based concerns.
• Manage the locale’s review service score, including RQE audits and alignment performance.
• Uphold the community’s shared understanding of quality standards.
• Ensure that arbitration records are accurate and well-supported.
• Oversee the working relationship with the client’s Language Manager, encompassing clarifications, escalations, and tracking expectations.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles.
• Direct experience as the main point of contact for client Language Managers.
• Proven experience in managing formal arbitration or escalation procedures.
• Skills in facilitating conflict resolution.
• Extensive, practical knowledge of localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
• Ability to analyze style guide modifications, discern implicit client expectations, and align tolerance levels by content type.
• Hands-on experience in one-on-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and structured monthly quality reporting.
• Proficiency in tracking error concentrations, severity drift, and alignment scores.
• Capability to transform justification trends into style guide enhancements.
• Native-level proficiency in Estonian.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Background check required as part of the onboarding process.
• Must be physically located in one of the approved countries.
• Prior experience in supporting major technology localization initiatives and working with calibration or alignment tools is preferred.
