Engineering Project Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee technically intricate cybersecurity initiatives within the CISO organization

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, IT, Compliance, Customer Trust, Legal, Procurement, and go-to-market teams

• Spearhead programs that encompass security engineering, product and platform security, cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access management, vulnerability remediation, secure software development, AI-enabled workflows, compliance readiness, customer assurance, and security service delivery

• Gain a thorough understanding of architectures, data flows, control design, telemetry, and engineering dependencies

• Detect gaps, facilitate decision-making, and link technical efforts to risk mitigation and customer impact

• Utilize metrics, dashboards, audit evidence, and stakeholder forums to highlight material risks at an early stage

• Hold globally distributed teams accountable

• Initiate security capabilities with runbooks, support handoffs, customer assurance contributions, and awareness or GTM coordination

• Ensure that new capabilities are scalable and operational


⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in technical program management, security program management, security engineering operations, or a related technical delivery position

• 2+ years leading cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, enterprise software, compliance, audit readiness, or risk-reduction initiatives

• 2+ years of experience in security domains, including secure SDLC, vulnerability management, security operations, identity and access management, cloud security, product or platform security, and third-party risk

• Familiarity with security controls and frameworks such as NIST, ISO, PCI, SOC 2, or FedRAMP

• 1+ year of experience working with architecture, data flows, control design, cloud or infrastructure dependencies, and solution tradeoffs

• 2+ years of driving cross-functional technical execution involving product, engineering, security, compliance, and business stakeholders

• Experience in managing program metrics, dashboards, executive updates, and decision records

• 1+ year of utilizing AI-enabled tools for analysis, documentation, reporting, or workflow automation

• Knowledge of AI risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, third-party tooling, confidentiality, human review, and audibility

• Preferred: experience supporting CISO, security operations, product security, GRC, cloud security, or enterprise technology organizations

• Preferred: experience with architecture reviews, threat modeling, control implementation, detection engineering, incident readiness, remediation, or customer assurance

• Preferred: security integrations related to mergers and acquisitions

• Preferred: familiarity with AI-enabled products, copilots, agents, AI-assisted engineering workflows, or internal automation

• Preferred: knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud Platform, Enterprise Security, SOAR, or Observability Cloud

• Preferred: certifications in cybersecurity, cloud, or program management such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, AWS, Azure, or GCP
