Engineering Manager – Custom Objects Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the Custom Objects team consisting of about 10–15 engineers.

• Take responsibility for the architectural vision, team performance, platform quality, and the future development of the Custom Objects platform.

• Design, construct, scale, and maintain flexible data models within the HighLevel CRM.

• Transform the platform into a modular, dependable, and extensible service that accommodates dynamic schemas, associations, and product integrations.

• Guarantee predictable shipping schedules, high quality, observability, and operational reliability.

• Hire proficiently, cultivate talent, establish engineering standards, and nurture a psychologically safe, high-impact culture.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to define and deliver innovative capabilities.

• Create clear APIs, documentation, reliability assurances, and uphold engineering excellence across architecture, reliability, observability, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience managing teams that build complex, high-scale, product-driven systems.

• Proficiency in scalable, high-availability distributed systems.

• Proven success in mentoring engineers and developing future leaders.

• Strong history of influencing architectural direction for multi-surface platforms.

• Familiarity with GoHighLevel’s stack or similar technologies is preferred but not mandatory, including Node.js/TypeScript, Go, GCP, Firestore, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, or ClickHouse.
