This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a small Infrastructure Engineering team tasked with operating and modernizing the production platform.
• Allocate roughly 50% of your time to hands-on infrastructure tasks and 50% to people management.
• Take ownership of the reliability and modernization of the Kubernetes-based Azure production platform.
• Complete the remaining transition from legacy infrastructure.
• Drive infrastructure initiatives from inception to completion.
• Establish priorities, mentor engineers, and ensure clear accountability.
• Make informed decisions that balance reliability, security, technical debt, capacity, and product priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and other technical stakeholders.
• Advocate for AI-native engineering practices, including the use of AI coding assistants and AI-supported operations.
• Minimize operational and coordination overhead within the engineering organization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, SRE, or software engineering, including more than 2 years in a managerial role.
• Recent practical experience managing production Kubernetes environments in Azure or a similar public cloud.
• Extensive hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and contemporary CI/CD practices, including Argo, Terraform, and GitHub-based deployment workflows.
• Proven experience leading infrastructure modernization, migration, reliability, or operational improvement projects to fruition.
• Demonstrated capability to guide and develop engineers while maintaining significant hands-on technical involvement.
• Strong judgment in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including effective remote teamwork across engineering groups.
• Proficiency with modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound, pragmatic decisions.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
