Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop the engineering team through individual meetings, goal setting, performance evaluations, career advancement, and recruitment.

• Take ownership of the roadmap and make prioritization choices.

• Determine which tasks are committed or declined and maintain accountability for delivered results.

• Design, write, and review code while directly overseeing a project.

• Manage the support and API consultancy queue along with its service standards.

• Assist customers and partners in implementing integrations via the REST API.

• Ensure completion of tasks across external dependencies and compliance timelines.

• Oversee the internal framework utilized to create new integration services.

• Collaborate closely with partners, Product, Support, and other engineering teams.

• Keep security and compliance responsibilities on schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and empowering senior, fully remote engineering teams.

• Practical software engineering experience with a strong focus on software architecture and code quality.

• Capability to design resilient systems, perform thorough code reviews, and rapidly adapt to new tools.

• In-depth experience in designing, building, scaling, and securing REST APIs.

• Comprehensive understanding of OAuth scopes, webhook architectures, and API gateways.

• Strong practical experience with AI-assisted development tools.

• Background in capacity planning and managing stakeholder expectations.

• Familiarity with modern deployment and monitoring technologies, including AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GitLab CI, and Grafana/Sentry.

• Willingness to be hands-on with Python/Django, PHP/Laravel, Apache APISIX, and Lua.

• Ideally, experience within a rapidly growing, global SaaS organization.
