Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead engineering teams independently, encouraging collaboration, ongoing feedback, and personnel development.

• Engage throughout the entire development lifecycle, from initial discovery to production, while ensuring quality, efficiency, and business impact.

• Define and shape technical, architectural, and product decisions, balancing business requirements with platform sustainability.

• Oversee end-to-end projects, pinpointing areas for improvement and simplifying development processes.

• Launch and enhance customer-facing products, monitoring growth, adoption, and performance metrics.

• Ensure the maintenance and evolution of legacy and high-scale systems, guaranteeing their availability, performance, and resilience.

• Navigate complex scenarios, reconciling priorities, changes, and stakeholder expectations.

• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and the adoption of engineering best practices.

• Extensive experience in leading teams and multiple software engineering squads.

• Proficient in recruiting, personnel development, career planning, and performance management.

• Background in fast-paced, agile environments with a startup mentality.

• Proven experience in guiding decisions through metrics (DORA, flow, product, growth, and OKRs).

• Capability to define technology strategy and roadmap in collaboration with Product and other teams.

• Experience in software architecture, enhancing legacy systems, and creating scalable products, preferably customer-facing.

• Proven track record in managing high-volume critical systems (APIs and concurrent users).

• Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills in complex environments.

• Experience with budget management and structural decisions that impact the organization.

• Strong skills in prioritization, decision-making, and problem-solving.
